First off, I just received this watch yesterday, so I haven't had a lot of time with it. This review is more of a first impression review.
Looks- I love the dark blue of the face. The dials, and hands really jump off the face and are easy to read. The outline is more chrome than I expected, but it does not look cheap at all. Each of the little dials have detailing underneath that are hard to see in the photos.
Band- This is one of my 2 flaws. The leather band has too many "imperfections" in it for my taste. It looks like it was purposely machined to look worn or more "leathery" and it ends up looking cheap. It is also needlessly shiny. I will be ordering another 20mm band to replace it.
Size- Perfect. This is the size watch I've looking for. It's not too big or too small. I love big watches but they tend to get in the way and I bump them. Small watches look too feminine for my tastes. This watch is perfect.
Operation- Setting the watch is my other flaw. It is a pain. Plain and ***. It took me at least 15 minutes to get going and even now I'm not sure the perpetual calender is correctly set. I'm sure down the road, I'll laugh at myself for struggling with it, but for now I rate this as the worst part of it. Maurice Lacroix does include a manual and a CD-ROM to assist which is nice.
In the end, if you can put up with an annoying set-up and don't mind spending another $15-$20 on a new band, you should be really happy with this watch!
